The date seemed a long time ago when I started training on the 17th January 2022.
Here we are, 6 days out from the big day.
Steve has given us permission to back off this week in preparation for Sunday.
Only 2 small sessions. After 10 weeks of following Steve Moneghetti's training program the big day is nearly here.
This is the 5th time that I have participated in the Run 4 the kids. Each time I have found it a hard run. It is always around 15km. The course has been changed slightly a few times.
The last time I participated in this run was in 2018. Due to my big trip to Japan for my 60th in 2019 and the last 2 years of covid, it has been a while.
Another first for me is to follow a training program to the letter for a fun run. I have always trained for fun runs but usually, I fit the runs in when I can around my own training and my clients.
This year was different.
This year I needed the push......
Indeed it has been a push.....
I have followed the training sessions each week.
Each week I have done the 3 running sessions.
Lots of laps of the tan, laps of ovals, and some sessions have been a lot harder than others, both mentally and physically.
It might be too early to say this but thank you STEVE for the motivation and the encouragement.
Whatever happens on Sunday I know that I will try my hardest and put my best foot forward. (hopefully they are both equally good).
Hopefully, I have done enough...
At this stage, I am not worried about how long it takes me....
